According to some sources Casey Affleck and Sylvester Stallone Clashed Over Seating at the Golden Globes 2017
Sylvester Stallone got the role of introducing best Picture and his three-daughter shared the Miss Golden Globes title but he was not seen in Golden Globes award 2017.
According to sources, it was due to seating clash with Casey Affleck. His table was assigned to “Manchester by the Sea” star Casey Affleck, the producer of film Matt Damon and its writer-director, Kenneth Lonergan. Sylvester Stallone with his wife Jennifer Flavin walked to their table during the show’s opening ceremony but they found only one seat for both of them.
Some source told that Casey Affleck and Matt Damon tried to accommodate both of them but they felt embarrassed and watched the show from backstage. Another source said that there was confusion about seating but Casey Affleck and other were not ill towards Stallone and his wife.
“Casey was nothing but gracious,” the source explained. “Stallone was horrible to him and told him to get out of his face.” Some Sources also said: “There weren’t enough seats and so there was confusion, but it wasn’t personal against him,”
After all this clash Casey Affleck enjoyed his night as he won his first ever Golden Globe and one of the biggest awards of the Golden Globes which is Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Drama.
After his big win, he was very happy and can’t believe on his success and said to E News that,
“It’s really nice. To hear my name called was a kind of other-worldly, surreal, strange experience.”
He also added,
“This was a very different room. This was a room full of people who are very, very impressive and have been for years. They have a lot of presence and you’re sitting next to them and watching them on stage, and Meryl Streep makes that speech and people are up there saying incredible things.”
At the end, Affleck said,
“They’re incredible people who have been doing this forever. So it’s all pretty dazzling and overwhelming.”
